The article aims at presenting recent changes of Polish competition law. The amendment of competition law has entered into force in the mid of January 2015. It introduces several important novelties, such as: two phase merger procedure and limitation of the merger notifications by excluding some foreign to foreign j.v. and minor acquisition of assets and small companies, remedies and settlement procedure in antitrust cases, leniency plus and liability of natural persons for antitrust infringements. The article offers brief evaluation of those changes. It concludes that despite introduction of many new institutions many of them are likely to remain ineffective.
