Am 14. Juni 2008 fand an der Stanford Law School das erste Transatlantic Information Law Symposium statt. Es wurde gesponsert vom Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) [fsi.stanford.edu ] in Kooperation mit der Stanford Law School und dem Transatlantic Technology Law Forum (TTLF) [ttlf.stanford.edu ]. Idee und Konzeption entstanden während eines sechsmonatigen Aufenthalts von Prof. Andreas Wiebe von der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (www.infolaw.at ) als Visiting Professor an der Stanford Law School.
