1. Legal basis
Austrian insolvency law was substantially revised and restructured by the introduction of the Insolvency Code ( Insolvenzordnung/IO) in 2010. The previous provisions of the Bankruptcy Code (Konkursordnung/KO) and Composition Code (Ausgleichsordnung/AO) were combined to form the Insolvency Code (BGBl. (Federal Law Gazette) I No. 29/2010).
