The Austrian capital market in an international context
Austrian capital markets, especially the Vienna Exchange, have undergone a series of dramatic reforms. Nevertheless it seems adequate to look at the recent international financial crisis, because it has consequences for the economy and even grave one for listed companies with solid fundamental outlook. It deserves most serious efforts to overcome the international financial crisis now being a crisis of confidence. The European Monetary Union and the prefixing of the euro has provided Euro 11 and other European countries with a stable economic area.
