The basic principles of English contract law are largely judge-made, though there are many Acts of Parliament and regulations affecting the form or content of particular transactions. These include sales of goods, sales of land, consumer credit and consumer contracts generally, carriage of goods, distance selling, package holidays, marine insurance, employment.
